About me

I was born and raised in Belgium, and received a BSc and MSc in Fundamental Mathematics from the University of Antwerp. The last year of my MSc I did as an Erasmus exchange student at Glasgow University. After two years in the Dynamical Systems research group at Hasselt University, I started my PhD in Theoretical Evolutionary Biology from Leiden University.

I've presented my work in the UK, France, Austria, Sweden, Italy, Japan, Hungary, and of course the Netherlands, and reported it in my PhD thesis (PDF icon) which consists of published papers with a popular introduction plus a Dutch summary. As you can see from it, I'm very familiar with the LaTeX scientific wordprocessor. You can also have a look at a slightly outdated CV (PDF icon) if you want to know more details.
